Bhikaji Cama Jayanti is observed on 24 September to commemorate the birth anniversary of Madam Bhikaji Rustom Cama, an important figure in India’s freedom movement. She was born on 24 September 1861 in Bombay and became actively involved in the movement while living abroad. The Government of India’s Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav records that she unfurled an early version of an Indian independence flag at the International Socialist Conference in Stuttgart, Germany, on 22 August 1907. She later worked from Europe to support the Indian independence movement and was associated with organisations and publications connected with the movement. The Nehru Archive also records her birth date as 24 September 1861 and death date as 13 August 1936. The occasion provides an opportunity to remember her contribution to India’s freedom struggle and share respectful tribute messages. Create Bhikaji Cama Jayanti posters and patriotic tribute creatives with Publicity Poster for sharing across WhatsApp and social media.
