International Translation Day is observed annually on 30 September to recognise the important contribution of translators, interpreters and terminologists in connecting people and nations, facilitating dialogue and supporting multilingual communication. The United Nations officially designated 30 September as International Translation Day through General Assembly Resolution A/RES/71/288 in 2017. The date is associated with the feast of St. Jerome, traditionally regarded as the patron saint of translators. For 2026, the International Federation of Translators (FIT) is highlighting “Linguistic Diversity and Language Rights”, with “The power of being understood” as the accompanying message. Publicity Poster can help create International Translation Day awareness posters, language-themed creatives and social media posts for translators, language professionals, educational institutions and organisations.
