Police Commemoration Day, also known as Police Smriti Diwas or Police Martyrs Day, is observed annually on 21 October across India to honour police personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty. The day commemorates the sacrifice of ten police personnel who were killed in an ambush by heavily armed Chinese troops at Hot Springs, Ladakh, on 21 October 1959. It also pays tribute to all police personnel who have made the supreme sacrifice while protecting citizens, maintaining public order, and safeguarding the nation. Police units across the country conduct remembrance ceremonies, memorial parades, and tributes to honour the courage, dedication, and service of fallen personnel. The occasion reminds citizens of the risks faced by police officers and the importance of recognizing their commitment to public safety. Publicity Poster helps create respectful Police Commemoration Day posters, tribute creatives, and social media designs honouring police martyrs.
